Confucianism and Confucian culture both attach importance to the intent of educational practice as it is decisive significance to the inheritance, nature, content and approach of education. Confucianism usually sums up teaching as the fundamental links of “learning”, “thinking” and “action”. Confucianism advocates “benevolence leads others” and emphasizes “benevolence”. In this regard, firstly, it should be open-hearted, secondly, “do not force on others what you yourself do not desire”, thirdly, to be good at cooperation, and fourthly, to forgive others, which are manifested in humility, mutual respect, sympathy, tolerance, charity, mutual assistance and other personality traits in the interaction. Confucianism advocates “play fair” which will help to form honesty, positive, integrity and other good personality traits. The positive impact of Confucian culture on character development, such as the cultivation of children hardworking, strict self-discipline, honesty and humble, careful, and implicit introverted character traits.
